Grilled Mahi-Mahi

Shopping List

INGREDIENTS:

6.5 oz. Mahi-Mahi
1/2 - 1 oz. Butter
1/2 tsp. Montreal Steak Seasoning

Preparation

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. For excellent grill marks, place the piece of fish on the grill facing the 2 o’clock position.
  2. Using a basting brush, lightly coat the top of the fish with butter and seasoning. Cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Turn the fish, placing it back on the grill facing the 10 o’clock position. Cook for 3 minutes.
  4. At the six minute mark, flip the fish over to the 2 o’clock position. Brush and top the fish with butter and seasoning. Cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Turn the fish, placing it back on the grill facing the 10 o’clock position. Cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Fish should have diamond marks on both sides.
  7. Check for doneness, cook longer or glaze with butter and season if necessary.
  8. Garnish with a fresh piece of lemon. Enjoy!

CHEF MIKE’S TIPS:
When cooking on a grill, it’s a good idea to lightly coat the grill with a cooking spray or canola oil to keep the fish from sticking to the grill when turning.
