Stonewood’s new Brandon location has an intriguing addition to its tavern. Local artist Mark Renda has taken the abstract print designs created by Hudson Hill that are featured on the walls, and brought them into another dimension with his metal artwork. “The two dramatic pieces really blend well with the interior and help showcase our quality beverages” says Steve Papero, co-founder of Stonewood Grill.

Mark has been creating metal art sculptures for the last 5 years in his family’s auto repair shop. He started out using scrap auto parts to pound out his creations, now he purchases sheets of steel for his art. He marks the metal freehand with a pen, then using different tools on hand in his shop, he cuts, grinds and melds, creating portraits, fish scenes, and other works with laser-like precision. If he can’t fix your car, he may just turn it into a work of art!
